Omnichannel vs Multichannel Support: The Real Difference

Every vendor claims to be omnichannel, but most are only multichannel — more entry points, no connected conversations. Here's the real test for telling them apart.

A question on the website widget. A follow-up on WhatsApp. Another DM on TikTok. A pile of unanswered messages on a social inbox nobody checked today. What multichannel actually means

Multichannel support is simple: you can receive messages on more than one entry point. Website widget, email, WhatsApp, Telegram, a WeChat service account — if you have them connected, you are multichannel.
